Where the app stands today
Ballast is a planned iPhone app, not a released app yet. It is designed for adults who are tapering, have stopped, or are maintaining after a GLP-1 medication, with tracking and education only.
The app is not meant to tell you what to do with your medication. Dose choices, taper choices, start dates, and stop dates belong to your prescriber or care team.
If you want to see what the app is built to track, visit the features page.
What you get free
The free tier is planned as a simple reference and tracking layer. You can look at the tools the app is intended to offer, without needing an account.
- Weekly weight trend tracking with an adjustable regain band
- Protein and fiber targets based on body weight
- A strength log that helps you notice consistency over time
- A weekly appetite check-in from quiet to loud
If eating feels hard, talk with a clinician for support.
What Pro adds
A future Pro subscription is planned for people who want more of the same tracking in one place. The app will keep the same careful boundaries and will still not give medical advice.
For the current plan and the difference between free and Pro, see pricing.

If you want to follow the launch, join the waitlist for the Ballast app. We will use it to share news when the app is closer to release.
The app is planned for iPhone only. Android and web versions are not offered.
Your data and privacy
The app is planned to store data on your device. There will be no account, and you will be able to export and delete everything.
For the privacy details, read privacy. The app will also include a medical disclaimer so the limits are clear.
