Regain band calculator
Enter both weights, in the same unit.
A band is a personal heads-up line, not a medical threshold. Nothing you type leaves this page.
Formula
Percent above your low equals current minus low, divided by low, times 100. This is plain arithmetic. There is no clinical cutoff behind it, so choose a band you and your care team find useful.
This calculator on this page is for tracking only. You enter the weights you want to compare, and the page uses the formula built into the tool to show whether the change is inside or outside your chosen band.
The band idea comes from app tracking, where some people want a simple way to notice when their weight trend moves away from the range they set for themselves. It can help you review patterns over time without guessing from memory.
How the calculator works
The calculator on this page compares two weight points and your selected band. It then shows the size of the change and whether that change crosses the band you set. The calculation is based on the code on the page, so you do not need to work it out yourself.
The tool is for adults who want a simple record of weight trend, not a decision tool. If eating feels hard, talk with a clinician.
What a band means in the app
In the app, the regain band is a personal tracking range around a weight trend. It is meant to help you notice movement, not to label it as good or bad. You can learn more about the planned feature here: weight trend and regain band.
The app is planned to store data on the device, with no account, plus export and delete options. It is also planned to include a weekly weight trend view, protein and fiber targets from body weight, a strength log, and a weekly appetite check-in.
What the result is not
This result is not a diagnosis, and it is not a recommendation to change medicine, food, or exercise. Those choices belong to your prescriber or care team.
In SURMOUNT-4, adults who completed 36 weeks of tirzepatide and were then switched to placebo gained 14.0% of body weight from week 36 to week 88, while those who continued tirzepatide lost a further 5.5%. That study result does not tell any one person what their own pattern will be.
